An implant replaces the natural tooth root, it is a titanium screw that is placed in the jaw under local anesthesia. Titanium is a body-friendly material, which means that this material is accepted by the body and to which the jawbone can adhere well. An implant functions in the same way as your own natural roots. You can't feel implants. You do not feel the difference between a natural root with a crown or an implant with a crown. If you are missing a tooth or molar, you can choose to have an implant placed. A crown is then placed on the implant. If you are missing several teeth or molars, a bridge can also be placed or an anchor for partial dentures (frame or plate).
