Advice from TIP

If we cannot find a solution, you can submit your question to the Dental Information Point. They can advise you on what steps you can take to resolve your complaint. You do this via the special contact form on

Complaints procedure

You can also submit your complaint to the KNMT, the professional association to which this practice is affiliated. It operates as a third, neutral party. An independent complaints officer will mediate between you and your dentist free of charge via the KNMT, with the aim of still finding a solution.

If, despite the assistance of the complaints officer, you are unable to resolve the matter, you can appeal to the Disputes Authority for Oral Care. That costs €75. At the disputes body, your complaint will be assessed by a committee of five experts. This will give a binding opinion on your complaint. The body can award damages up to a maximum of 25,000 euros.
