People are often dissatisfied with the position of their teeth. In addition to the well-known lock bracket, there is also a bracket that is removable and virtually invisible. Also called the ?transparent?, ?invisible? or ?transparent? called bracket. Ideal for anyone who prefers a brace that you don't notice much!
How does it work?
There are different brands on the market such as Invisalign or Exceed aligner, which we work with in practice airsmile from Eccent. This brand has already proven itself well and has been on the market for some time. It is a lot cheaper than, for example, Invisalign. Airsmile consists of a number of removable plastic trays (aligners) that ensure small movements of your teeth. With this orthodontic treatment, the custom-made braces are replaced by a new set every two weeks. This allows the teeth to move. First of all, you come to the dentist for an intake interview and to discuss a treatment plan. After this, impressions of your teeth are made and various photos and X-rays are taken.
We use this information for the computer model, with which an individual treatment plan is designed where we can specifically control the movements of the teeth. This way you can see in advance what the end result will be.
Based on the model, we can have the transparent braces made. These are placed over your teeth. You come back for checkups, minor adjustments or new braces. In this way, the desired shifts of your teeth are planned and calculated. Your dentist will review and assess the final result with you.
The duration of the treatment depends on the complexity and wishes. We can always make an estimate on the first visit, but we can only say more about this with the computer model. It is often the case that an Airsmile braces treatment takes less time than one with braces.
It is important that you carry the trays as much as possible. Approximately between 20 and 22 hours a day. You only take them off to eat, drink, clean and burn. If you drink cold water, you can keep them.
